Harjoiteltavaa riittää, kuten kuvistakin näkee, mutta jokainen harjoitus on askel eteenpäin.

Free-motion quilting challenge for June was fun: we got to do doodling and zentangling and swirling and all kinds of fun. At first I felt that I won't get the sandwich ever done, because I had no idea what to quilt as I didin't want to do all the same patterns as in the example of the tutorial. Then I took out Diane Gaudinsly's books and used some of her ideas. With banana attempt I was totally lost, somehow I couldn't get them into my brain, only once I managed to do some by accident, and then the idea disappeared again... Well, there's lot to practice still, as the pictures tell, but I'm satisfied with e.g. my feather that I did draw on the fabric but couldn't stay on the lines at all but kept on stitching as best I could. It doesn't look that bad though. Furthermore, I was able to preserve steady stitch length for quite long times - at times - and found a good rythm towards the end.
Fun, fun, fun - each exercise is a step in the right direction...
