Azoreilla tuli tähyiltyä tietysti harrastusasioidenkin perään. Yhden lehtikioskin edessä tähyillessäni Siippa tokaisi että tuossahan se on, Patchwork-lehti. Luulin että hän vain kiusoitteli, mutta totta se oli. Ja myöhemmin toisesta kioskista löytyi kaksi lisää. Lehdet ovat manner-Portugalista, ja tietenkin portugalin kielisiä, mutta ohjeet ovat niin selkeitä vaihekuvineen, että kyllä niiden avulla pärjää ilman kielitaitoakin.

Sain palalutettua pikkuriiviöt kuriin ja järjestykseen. Koska työ on menossa ristiäislahjaksi kolmen viikon kuluttua, se on vielä salainen, enkä voi sitä kokonaisuudessaan näyttää, mutta tässä pari yksityiskohtaa esimakuna. Joukossa tulee olemaan pari pojanviikariakin...

At the Azores I was naturally keeping my eyes open for things connected with the quilting hobby. Standing in front of a newspaper stand I thought my DH was teasing me when he said that there it is, a patchwork magazine. But he wasn't and from another stand we found two mor copies of the same series. They are naturally from the continent and written in Portuguese, but they have such good instructions with clear pictures that it will be easy to do the patterns.

I've also managed to restore law and order among the little monsters. As they are going to be a christening present due in three weeks I cannot show you the whole so the surprise isn't revealed too early, but here are a couple of details to warm you up. There are going to be a couple of little lads in it as well..
