Päällimmäiseksi on jäänyt tälläinen pieni työ, jossa sain päähäni kokeilla yhdellä taittelutekniikalla, kuinka pieniä blokkeja pystyisin siten tekemään. Yhden taittelun koko on 1,5 x 1,5 cm, ja koko työ on 26,5 x 26,5 cm. Työn nimi on nonparelli, vaikkeivät nuo blokit pyöreitä olekaan.

I've been working from home office for almost a year now, and finally we got our study downstairs sorted out so that it really is mine now. DH took his gear upstairs, where one room has been empty since our First-born has moved out a couple of years ago. Looking at the empty white walls in my office the bulb went on: I'll hang all my wall hanging quilts in there and solve the problem of preserving them in a  proper way. So there they now wait at the end of the table for someone to hang them...Hymy

On top of the pile there is an old folded miniature quilt I did to see how small I could manage to do the folded blocks. Their finished size is 1,5 x 1.5 cm and the whole quilt is 26,5 x 26,5 cm. I named it "Nonpareil" eventhough the blocks aren't circles.

In the workshop way back I also made a pillow with the same technique. The finished block size is 5 x 5 cm, and when I sewed the blocks together it looked much too shiny white for me, so I had to figure out a way to tame it a bit. I embroidered small flowers to the middle of the blocks. Since the fabric was some non-cotton material, rather thick and frayed easily, I didn't take the blocks apart, but embroidered them through a small hole between the folds on the back of the blocks...
