I thought I forgot something when blogging about the BOM quilt - the eight small stars that are sewn in addition to other monthly tasks. Sewing the stars has been so much fun that I've already cut the May portion as well. But family errands have kept me so busy that I haven't had a chance to sew anything sofar.

One day I heard a terrible sound from our front yard: it was this handsome male pheasant who was hooting in search of a partner in our garden. The picture is of poor quality taken through the window and zooming from far away. But just as I wanted to go out, he was already moving on to the neighboring property and out of sight. I guess he didn't manage to find a companion since I haven't seen him any more. Actuallly I am relieved, because I fear they would mess our flower garden if they'd settle down properly.
