Things I've been preparing today are secret sofar, so I cannot reveal anything yet. Suddenly I did remember that somebody had wished to see more about shaving cream marbling, and after athorugh search I managed to locate the two experiments I made.

Shaving cream marbling is actually quite simple: cream is sprayed on well covered table surface and evened out with a spatula. Ther should be a layer of about 2 cm to make it work easily. Then I just used the same iron-on silk paints that I use with regular marbling as well. The main difference with this technique is that the colour doesn't spread automatically, it has to be worked with a stick thoroughly. I could have done more with my experiments, there are rather large spots of colour on them. After the paint is spread the way you want you place a piece of cotton fabric on the shaving cream and let the paint sink in for a while. Then you take the fabric out and place it on the surface and remove excess cream with the spatula. The fabric is dry, I let it rest for three days like with regular marbling anad then put the fabrics into oven to fasten teh paint (150 degrees, 30 minutes). The shaving cream can be reused if you don't mind the residue paint. I did my marbling on the right like that, and you can see the pink and the yellow from the first experiment. In case you don't want that you have to remove the old cream and start with a new batch.
