Lauantaina bongasin paikallislehdestä Vihdin puolella Selkissä olevan Samaria-kirppiksen ilmoituksen kassipäivistä, jolloin saisi tunkea heidän antamaansa muovikassiin vaatteita 8 euron hintaan. Pakkasta pelkäämättä säntäsin siis paikalle - toteamaan, että kassitarjous alkoi vasta maanantaina. Kun nyt kuitenkin olin sinne asti laittautunut, niin kiertelin ja tarkastelin tarjonnan, enkähän tietenkään tyhjin käsin päässyt pois.

Pieni, pyöreä liina ja alimmainen kangas ovat Klaukkalan kirppikseltä, muut siis Samariasta. Kuka nyt kerta kaikkiaan voisi vastustaa lähes kahta metriä käsinvirkattua pitsiä tai noita herkullisen keltaisia "pääsiäiskuoseja" tai tuota päällimmäistä retroverhoa kukkaraitoineen? Vihreä kangas päätyy varmasti mattoprojektiini, jonka olen päättänyt toteuttaa saatuani lukijoilta niin paljon hyviä ohjeita irtolankojen hoiteluun. Kelta-valkoraidallista taidan kokeilla pyykkinarukulhoon leikkaamalla kaitaleet raitojen poikki - jännä nähdä, millainen siitä mahtaa tulla...

Last weekend I read at the local newspaper of a flea market sale where you could fill in a plastic bag with their clothing for 8 EUR only. So I dashed there disregarding the freezing winter weather - to notice that the reduced prices weren't valid until from Monday on. As I had already driven there I decided to have a look to see if I still could find something interesting - obviously I would find something and the regular prices wouldn't be that bad either. And who could resist almost 2 meters of handmade lace - or those delicious yellow "Easter" fabrics - or the beautiful retro curtain on the top with the lovely flower stripe? Some of the fabrics will end in my recycling carpet project, and the yellow-and-white striped fabric would probably look interesting in a clothesline bowl if I cut it across the stripes...
